Consent Information

Understanding what you are consenting to when booking sessions for your teenager.

What you are consenting to

By booking a session on Bloomfy, you are consenting to your teenager taking part in a professional mental health session with the Counsellor you have selected. Sessions may be conducted online (video), by audio call, or in person, depending on your choice at the time of booking.

Confidentiality

Sessions are confidential between the Counsellor and your teenager. This confidentiality is an essential part of the counselling relationship and is important for the teenager's trust and engagement. As a parent, you will not routinely receive detailed reports of session content.

Limits of confidentiality

There are circumstances where a Counsellor is legally and ethically required to break confidentiality. These include: a risk of serious harm to the teenager or others; disclosure of abuse; or legal obligations under Indian law. If confidentiality needs to be broken, the Counsellor will, where safe to do so, discuss this with you.

Your teenager's voice

Counselling is most effective when teenagers feel safe and in control. We encourage parents to involve their teenager in the decision to seek support and to allow them to build a trusting relationship with the Counsellor without feeling monitored.

Data and records

Session notes are held securely and accessible only to the Counsellor and, where relevant, the Bloomfy safeguarding team. They are not shared with schools, other healthcare providers, or third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

Right to withdraw

You may withdraw consent for ongoing sessions at any time by cancelling future appointments. Cancellation of a session already booked is subject to our cancellation policy. You may also request deletion of personal data — see our Privacy Policy.
